Toro Recycler Electric Start Vs Recoil

After starting my Toro Recycler with the recoil for the first time I can honestly say I don't know why anyone would buy a Toro mower with electric start ie the key start.  Here's why.  First you add at least 2-4 pounds to support the battery for the electric start.  Next the Toro Recycler mowers do not charge the battery.  You must charge the battery by plugging the mower in.  Toro recommends charging the mower after an hour of use.  If the mower could charge it's own battery like most other electric start things in the world i'd be much in favor of it but when you must charge externally that totally sucks.

Now this is what the marketing department at Toro likley doesn't want you to know.  The Toro Recycler without the key start is so easy to start there is really no reason to start with electric start.  First the non-electric start mowers have the pull on the handle not the engine so you don't have to bend over.  Second there is no primer on some models so you don't even have to think.  Next you just pull the rope not hard just pull.  The Toro Recycler will start even with a half assed pull.  My 93 year old grandma could start this mower.  I just don't see why anyone would need to add a battery and key to this mower.  It's just too well built.  Sorry Toro if this is a feature that adds to your margins.
